Policy

Refill Policy

Refill requests should be made during routine office hours Monday - Friday. Twenty-four hours notice is required for all refills. ADHD prescriptions must be picked up in person during the work week. For routine medications that need refill, often the pharmacy will fax the request to us.

Appointments

Appointments for acute illnesses and urgent conditions are available on a same day basis and will generally be scheduled with the first available provider. Saturday morning office hours are for acute illnesses only. Please call as early in the day as possible for your appointment. To schedule an appointment please call 336-765-9000, and we will be happy to assist you.

Preventative Care

Your child needs periodic health exams (well child checks, or "check ups") to monitor growth, development and general health. At these visits, immunizations will be offered to protect your child from childhood diseases. We strongly encourage the immunization schedule by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Newborn Care

Our providers attend newborns at Forsyth Medical Center.  We will visit you and the baby each day while you are in the hospital. Even if you deliver elsewhere, we will gladly accept your infant as a new patient. Generally the first office visit will be 2 to 3 days after hospital discharge.

Prior to your delivery, we encourage you to schedule a PRENATAL VISIT to meet one of our physicians. This visit usually lasts 15 to 20 minutes and is free of charge.

Telephone/Patient Portal Messaging

Any time you have a question about your child, please contact the office. Our office hours are 8am to 7pm (Mon-Thur), 8am to 5pm (Fri) and 8am to 11am on Saturdays. Our nurses are trained to answer your questions, but if there is a question that they can't answer they will refer the question to the physician. The nurse or physician will contact you back with the answer to your concern or question.

Please take advantage of our PATIENT PORTAL access.  Any questions can be sent directly to your physician and they can contact back electronically.  Please call the office for any emergencies and use the patient portal messaging for non-urgent needs.

After hours calls will be answered by the nurses at Triage Logic - Please call 336-659-5727. These nurses will address your concern and if necessary contact the physician on call. After hours calls are for urgent problems only: routine questions and refill requests should be handled during office hours.

We accept most insurance plans. Many insurance plans require payment of your copay and deductibles. Please be familiar with your insurance plan.

All copays are to be paid prior to leaving the office at the time of the visit. We accept credit cards, debit cards, checks and cash. Copayments can not be billed to you.
