Winston-Salem Pediatrics Highroad History:
Winston-Salem Pediatrics was established by Dr. Jerry Bennett in 1970 and is the oldest independent pediatric practice in the area. Winston-Salem Pediatrics has had two homes over the years and moved to our current location around the year 2000. In 2005, the practice was purchased from Dr. Bennett under the company name, Highroad Pediatrics. The owners decided it was important to continue operating under the name Winston-Salem Pediatrics due to community recognition. Along with the new owners came a new mascot. The giraffe was chosen because we wanted to stand tall in the crowd and be heads above the rest. Since 2005, the practice has grown to have two current owners and is the only pediatric office in Forsyth County that is physician-owned.
Our Approach to Care:
Our owners are all parents themselves and understand the joys and struggles of raising children. Being business owners and pediatricians allows them the freedom to make decisions based on what is best for your child. Our owners, doctors, and staff pride themselves in providing your family with both quality customer service and quality care. From infancy through college our goal is to work with you and your child to ensure their healthcare needs are met. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you to achieve the best for your child. We are proud to be an independent practice that you can depend on.
Our Home:
Our office is conveniently located in Ardmore at 2808 Maplewood Avenue. Within minutes of our office you can find the two local hospitals, radiology, and laboratory draw centers. Our office has separate bright and colorfully painted well and sick rooms for your comfort. We have 12 exam rooms with differing themes. Many of the designs were chosen and painted by our doctors or staff to add our personal touch.
Our Family:
When you enter our office you will be greeted by a friendly and familiar face. It is the job of our front staff to welcome you to the office and to ensure that we have all of your correct information on file. Having accurate information will allow us to contact you concerning upcoming appointments, inform you of received lab results, and correctly file your insurance after your visit. Our certified clinical staff does an excellent job relating to you and to your child. They will get your child's vital signs and help get you to an exam room prepared to see your doctor. Our board certified pediatricians will help keep you and your child at ease through the appointment, thanks to their personal and professional demeanor. We welcome you to our family, and thank you for trusting us with yours.
